Does it know MY court?
It is not a generic courtroom. It is a catalogue of real ones.
17 Philippine forums, each carrying the proceedings it actually holds, the thresholds that send a case to it, the instruments that govern it, and how its bench is addressed.
The catalogue
From the barangay to the Supreme Court.
Before the courts
The community conciliation tier a dispute must pass through first. No lawyers appear.
- Katarungang Pambarangay
First-level courts
Where the small-claims and summary tracks live, alongside ordinary trials.
- Metropolitan Trial Court
- Municipal Trial Court in Cities
- Municipal Trial Court
- Municipal Circuit Trial Court
Second-level courts
The RTC in general jurisdiction, and the five designations it wears — the same bench under an additional instrument, not five separate courts.
- Regional Trial Court
- Family Court
- Special Commercial Court
- Environmental Court
- Drugs Court
- Cybercrime Court
Parallel jurisdictions
A system alongside the ordinary hierarchy rather than above or below it. Each says which ordinary rung it answers to.
- Shari'a Circuit Court
- Shari'a District Court
Appellate courts
Where argument is made to a panel, and each seat speaks for itself.
- Court of Appeals
- Sandiganbayan
- Court of Tax Appeals
Court of last resort
In divisions and en banc, under its own published internal rules.
- Supreme Court
Yours not among them? It stays creatable — with a single judge and rules you upload yourself. A court LexGrit has never catalogued must remain usable, which is why that door is never closed.
The rules, curated
Two instruments, 220 provisions, both checkable.
2019 Amendments to the Revised Rules on Evidence
A.M. No. 19-08-15-SC · 116 provisions
The rules every objection in a trial court is argued under. One corpus serving all ten trial courts, because the rules of evidence do not change between them.
The Internal Rules of the Supreme Court
A.M. No. 10-4-20-SC · 104 provisions
How the Court itself sits, decides, and disposes — the rules an advocate before it is expected to already know.
Philippine statutes and rules are government works. What is added is legal-editorial curation — the text extracted from the Court's own publication, checked against an independent copy, and every provision reviewed before an edition may ground a single session. Until a version is published it retrieves nothing, and the product says so on the forum rather than ruling on rules nobody approved.
How a forum's rules are chosen
Where do its rules come from?
- LexGrit's rules for this forumThe governing rules, curated and kept current. This forum follows the published edition and moves when it does.
- LexGrit's rules, made yoursStarts from the published edition and pins to it. Add your standing orders; teach it where your court differs.
- Your own documentsYou upload the rule PDFs. Nothing is assumed, and nothing is shared.
- A forum LexGrit has not curatedWhere no corpus exists, the two curated options are offered but not choosable, and the reason is printed rather than hidden:LexGrit does not ship rules for this forum yet.
Then make it yours
The corpus is a starting point, not a ceiling.
Add what only your branch has
Standing orders, a presiding judge’s practice notes, the issuance that governs your sala and nowhere else.
Correct what the rule does not say
When a ruling cites a provision your court applies differently, record it. The correction outranks the base text at retrieval and is quoted back with its provenance — labelled as your note, never passed off as authority.
Move when you decide to
A fork is pinned to the edition it was written against. When a newer one is published you are told what changed and offered the move — never migrated silently, because a correction written against particular wording may not survive new wording.
What this is not
It is not training a model on your case.
What you build is corpus, retrieval and disposition tuning — your corrections are stored, ranked against the same relevance floor as everything else, and quoted back with their provenance. Nothing you write fine-tunes a model, and nothing you upload trains one. That is a smaller claim than the industry's usual one, and a more defensible one: every sentence the bench relies on can be traced to a document you can open.
The mechanics are in the guide, and what the product still refuses to claim is on its own page.
